Jabir bin Abdullah reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid muzabanah and huqul. Jabir bin Abdullah explained, "Muzabanah is selling fresh dates on the tree for dried dates, and huqul is Kira Ard."
أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ ينهي عن المزابنة والحقول، فقال جابر بن عبد الله: المزابنة الثمر بالتمر. والحقول كراء الأرض.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Sales (103/1536), from Hasan Hulwani, who said, Abu Tuba told us, Muawiya told us, from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, that Yazid bin Nuaym informed him that Jabir bin Abdullah informed him, and he mentioned it.Ibn Shihab said, Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar told me, from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ, the same, exactly.
