Ata bin Abu Rabah reported,

Abu Saeed Khudri met Ibn Abbas and said to him, "What about your view on currency exchange? Is it something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, or something you found in the Book of Allah ?"Ibn Abbas replied, "Neither, I do not claim that. As for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, you know him better than I do, and as for the Book of Allah, I have no such knowledge from it. But Usama bin Zayd told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Indeed, riba occurs only in deferred transactions.'"

عن عطاء بن أبي رباح

أن أبا سعيد الخدري لقي ابن عباس، فقال له: أرأيت قولك فى الصرف؟ أشيئا سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ أم شيئا وجدته فى كتاب الله عز وجل؟ فقال ابن عباس: كلا، لا أقول. أما رسول الله ﷺ فأنتم أعلم به مني، وأما كتاب الله فلا أعلمه، ولكن حدثني أسامة بن زيد أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: ألا إنما الربا في النسيئة.
