Ibn Hibban narrated it (3467), saying, Ahmad bin Hasan bin Abu Sagheer informed us, Ibrahim bin Munqidh narrated to us, Idris bin Yahya narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Ayyash bin Abbas, from Abdullah bin Sulayman Tawil, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, who related it.Tabarani also reported it in Awsat (6430) through another route, from Idris bin Yahya Khawlani, with the same wording. He said, "This hadith was not narrated from Nafi except by Abdullah bin Sulayman, and it was not narrated from Abdullah bin Sulayman except by Abdullah bin Ayyash. Idris bin Yahya alone transmitted it, and it is not narrated from Ibn Umar except through this chain."I say, this is indeed so, except that the men of the chain do not fall below the level of hasan. Among them is Idris bin Yahya, who is Khawlani Misri, Abu Amr. A large number of narrators transmitted from him. Abu Zura was asked about him and said, "A righteous man, among the finest of the Muslims." Ibn Abu Hatim said, "Truthful (sadooq)." See Jarh wat-Tadil (2/265). Likewise, Abdullah bin Ayyash bin Abbas and his teacher Abdullah bin Sulayman Tawil, both of them make the hadith hasan.
