The Prophet ﷺ said, "There are three to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them, nor purify them, and theirs is a painful punishment." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited this three times.Abu Dharr said, "May they be ruined and lost. Who are they, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "The one who lets his garment hang below his ankles, the one who reminds others of his favors, and the one who sells his merchandise by means of a false oath."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: ثلاثة لا يكلمهم الله القيامة ولا ينظر إليهم ولا يزكيهم ولهم عذاب أليم قال: فقرأها رسول الله ﷺ ثلاث مرار. قال أبو ذر: خابوا: وخسروا، من هم يا رسول الله؟ قال: المسبل، والمنان والمنفق سلعته بالحلف الكاذب.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (106) through several routes from Muhammad bin Jafar, from Shuba, from Ali bin Mudrak, from Abu Zura, from Kharasha bin Hurr, from Abu Dharr, who related it.In another version, "and the one who moves his merchandise by false swearing, and the one who trails his garment." Al-munfiq, with the doubled letter, comes from nifaq (making something move/sell), and it is the opposite of stagnation.
