The Prophet ﷺ owed me a debt, so he repaid me and gave me extra. I came to him in the mosque, and he said to me, "Pray two rakahs."
كان لي على النبي ﷺ دين، فقضاني، وزادني، ودخلت عليه المسجد، فقال لي: صل ركعتين.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Borrowing (2394), and Muslim in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers (715:71), both of them through Muharib bin Dithar, from Jabir, who related it. The wording given is that of Muslim.
