The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever revives dead land, it belongs to him, and an unjust root has no right."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أحيا أرضا ميتة فهيي له، وليس لعرق ظالم حق.
Reported by Tabarani in al-Awsat, Majma al-Bahrayn (2180), from Ahmad, meaning Ibn Qasim, who said, Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab Harithi told us, Muslim bin Khalid Zanji told us, from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Abdullah bin Amr, who said, and then he narrated it.Its chain of transmission is hasan on account of Muslim bin Khalid Zanji, for there is disagreement about him, though his hadith is considered hasan when he does not bring something objectionable, and this hadith has a firm basis, and this is one of them.Haythami said in al-Majma (4/158), "Tabarani reported it in al-Awsat, and among its narrators is Muslim bin Khalid Zanji, whom Ibn Main and others deemed reliable, while Ahmad and others deemed him daif."
