The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The earth is Allah's earth, and the servants are Allah's servants. Whoever revives barren land, it belongs to him."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الأرض أرض الله، والعباد عباد الله، من أحيا مواتا فهيي له.
Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir (18/318), and in Musnad Shamiyin (288), from Ahmad bin Abdul-Wahhab bin Najda Hawti, who said, Yahya bin Salih Wahazi narrated to us, who said, Saeed bin Abdul-Aziz narrated to us, from Makhul, from Fadala bin Ubayd, who said, then he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Ahmad bin Abdul-Wahhab Hawti and his teacher Yahya bin Salih Wahazi, for both of them graded the hadith hasan. Haythami said in Al-Majmu (4/157), "Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir, and its men are the men of the sahih."Makhul Shami is trustworthy but frequently narrates with omitted links in the chain. Ibn Main said, "Makhul heard from Wathila bin Asqa, Fadala bin Ubayd, and Anas." Tuhfat Tahsil (p. 314).
