Abdullah bin Umar reported, "We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and I was riding a young, unruly camel belonging to Umar. It kept getting the better of me and surging ahead of the people, so Umar would scold it and pull it back. Then it would push forward again, and Umar would scold it and pull it back once more."The Prophet ﷺ said to Umar, "Sell it to me."Umar replied, "It is yours, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Sell it to me."So Umar sold it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "It is yours, Abdullah bin Umar. Do with it whatever you wish."
كنا مع النبي ﷺ في سفر، فكنت على بكر صعب لعمر، فكان يغلبني، فيتقدم أمام القوم، فيزجره عمر ويرده، ثم يتقدم فيزجره عمر ويرده. فقال النبي ﷺ لعمر: بعنيه قال: هو لك يا رسول الله، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: بعنيه، فباعه من رسول الله ﷺ، فقال النبي ﷺ: هو لك يا عبد الله بن عمر، تصنع به ما شئت.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Sales (2115), saying, Humaydi said, Sufyan (that is, Ibn Uyayna) narrated to us, Amr (that is, Ibn Dinar) narrated to us, from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it. He also narrated it in the Book of Gifts (2610) with a connected chain, saying, Abdullah bin Muhammad narrated to us, Ibn Uyayna narrated to us with it, similarly. Ibn Hajar said, "We have also narrated it with a connected chain in Musnad Humaydi, and in Mustakhraj Ismaili." Fath al-Bari (4/236).
