يا رسول الله، يصدر الناس بنسكين، وأصدر بنسك؟ فقال لها: انتظري، فإذا طهرت فاخرجي إلى التنعيم فأهلي، ثم انتينا بمكان كذا، ولكنها على قدر نفقتك أو نصبك.
Bukhari narrated it in Umrah (1787), and Muslim in Hajj (1211: 126), both of them through the route of Ibn Awn, from Qasim bin Muhammad, and also through Ibn Awn, from Ibrahim (that is, Nakhai), from Aswad, both of whom said, Ayesha said (and then he related it).As for his saying, "in proportion to your spending or your exertion," Nawawi said, "This clearly indicates that reward and merit in worship increase with the increase of exertion and spending, meaning the exertion that the Sharia does not condemn, and likewise the spending."
