Ibn Umar used to send his sacrificial animal from Jam in the latter part of the night so it would arrive at the place of slaughter of the Prophet ﷺ along with the pilgrims, among whom were both free men and slaves.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on Hajj (1711) from Ibrahim bin Munzir, who said, "Anas bin Iyad narrated to us, who said, 'Musa bin Uqba narrated to us, from Nafi,'" and he mentioned it.
