Imam Ahmad narrated it from Aswad bin Amir (23446), and from Yahya bin Adam (23453), both from Israil, from Hakam bin Utayba, who said, Mughira bin Hadhaf narrated to me, from Huzaifa, and he mentioned it. In the wording of Yahya bin Adam, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ shared in his hajj sacrifice among the Muslims." Its chain is hasan because of Mughira bin Hadhaf Absi, who is among the men of "Taajil," Ibn Main said, "well known." Hafiz said, Ibn Khalfun mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators. I say, Ibn Hibban did not mention him in his "Thiqat," even though he meets his criteria.As for what is narrated from Ibn Abbas, who said, "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and Eid al-Adha arrived, so we shared in the camel for ten and the cow for seven," this is shadh (anomalous). It was narrated by Tirmidhi (905), Nasai (4392), Ibn Majah (3131), and graded sahih by Ibn Khuzayma (2908), Ibn Hibban (4007), Hakim (4/230), and Bayhaqi (5/235-236), all of them through the hadith of Husayn bin Waqid, from Ilba bin Ahmar, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it. Tirmidhi said, "A hasan gharib hadith, and it is the hadith of Husayn bin Waqid." Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criteria of Bukhari." I say, Husayn bin Waqid does not meet the criteria of Bukhari but rather that of Muslim. He is Marwazi, Abu Abdullah the judge, whose hadith is hasan when he does not contradict others, but here he has contradicted others in the text. For this reason Bayhaqi preferred the narration of Jabir, saying, "The hadith of Abu Zubayr from Jabir is more sahih than that. He witnessed Hudaybiya and witnessed the Hajj and Umrah, and he informed us that the Prophet ﷺ commanded them to share seven to a camel, so it is more deserving of acceptance."On this subject there is also a narration from Ibn Masud, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "The camel is for seven, and the cow is for seven, in sacrifices." It was narrated by Tabarani in Al-Awsat (6124), from Muhammad bin Musa Ubulli, who said, Umar bin Yahya Ubulli narrated to us, who said, Hafs bin Jamee narrated to us, from Mughira, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, from Ibn Masud, and he mentioned it. Tabarani said, "No one narrated this hadith from Mughira except Hafs bin Jamee, and Umar bin Yahya narrated it alone." I say, Umar bin Yahya Ubulli and his teacher Hafs bin Jamee are both daif, and Haythami identified Hafs bin Jamee as the flaw in it in "Al-Majma" (3/226).On this subject there is also a narration from Anas bin Malik, who said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Hudaybiya share seven of his companions in a sacrificial camel." It was narrated by Tabarani in Al-Awsat, and it contains Muawiya bin Yahya Sadafi, who is daif, as Haythami said in "Al-Majma."
