Abu Umama Bahili reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say in his sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "Allah has given every rightful person their due, so there is no bequest for an heir. The child belongs to the marital bed, and for the fornicator there is the stone. Their reckoning rests with Allah. Whoever claims descent from someone other than his father, or attaches himself to people other than his rightful patrons, upon him is the curse of Allah that endures until the Day of Resurrection. A woman must not spend anything from her household without her husband's permission."Someone asked, "Messenger of Allah, not even food?"He replied, "That is the most valuable of our possessions."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A borrowed item must be returned, a gift loaned for use must be given back, a debt must be repaid, and the guarantor is liable."
