The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The angels do not accompany a group that has a bell with it."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا تصحب الملائكة رفقة فيها جرس.
Tabarani reported it in Al-Kabir (23/379) through two routes, from Zuhri, from Salim bin Abdullah, that Safina, the freedman of Umm Salama, informed him that Umm Salama informed him, and he related it.Khatib also reported it in his Tarikh (10/110–111), and Kharaiti in Masawi al-Akhlaq (838), both through this same route.Its chain of transmission is sahih.
