She said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Messenger of Allah, Safiya bint Huyayy has begun her menstrual period."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Perhaps she will hold us back. Did she not perform the circumambulation with you?"They said, "Yes, she did."He said, "Then set out."
أنها قالت لرسول الله ﷺ: يا رسول الله، إن صفية بنت حيي قد حاضت؟ قال رسول الله ﷺ: لعلها تحبسنا، ألم تكن طافت معكن؟ فقالوا: بلى، قال: فاخرجي.
Malik narrated it in the Hajj chapter (226) from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr bin Hazm, from his father, from Amra bint Abdul-Rahman, from Ayesha, and he related it as mentioned.Bukhari also narrated it in the Menstruation chapter (328) from Abdullah bin Yusuf, who said, Malik informed us, with the same wording.Bukhari narrated it again in the Hajj chapter (1561), and Muslim in the Hajj chapter (1211:128), by way of Jareer, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Aswad, from Ayesha, in a longer form.This has already been mentioned recently.
