Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mounted his camel and rode to the House, where he prayed Dhuhr in Mecca. He came upon the clan of Abdul-Muttalib drawing water at Zamzam and said, "Draw on, sons of Abdul-Muttalib. Were it not that people would overwhelm you in your duty of providing water, I would have drawn alongside you."They handed him a bucket, and he drank from it.
ثم ركب رسول الله ﷺ فأفاض إلى البيت، فصلى بمكة الظهر، فأتى بني عبد المطلب يسقون على زمزم فقال: انزعوا بني عبد المطلب! فلولا أن يغلبكم الناس على سقايتكم لنزعت معكم. فناولوه دلوا فشرب منه.
Muslim reported it in the Hajj chapter (1218) through Hatim bin Ismail Madani, from Jafar bin Muhammad, from his father, from Jabir bin Abdullah. This is the final part of the long hadith describing the Prophet's ﷺ Hajj.
