When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wished for the barber to shave his head, Abu Talha took hold of the hair on one side of his head with his hand. He gathered the hair and brought it to Umm Sulaym, and she would mix it into her perfume.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (12483) from Hasan, that is, Ibn Musa, who said, Hammad bin Salama narrated to us, from Thabit Bunani, from Anas, and he mentioned it.As for his phrase, "she dissolves it into its perfume," it means she mixes it into it. It is said, "he dissolved it with water," yadufuhu and yadifuhu, meaning he moistened it with it and mixed it.
