I saw the Prophet ﷺ while I was riding behind my father on his camel al-Adba on the Day of Sacrifice, with people gathered around him.I asked my father, "What is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying?"He replied, "He is saying, 'Throw the pebbles at the Jamarat with stones the size of those used in flicking.'"
Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (22/203) via Abu Walid Tayalisi, from Ikrima bin Ammar, who said, "Harmas bin Ziyad narrated to me," and he related it.Its chain is hasan due to the discussion surrounding Ikrima bin Ammar Ajli, though his hadith is hasan when he does not bring something objectionable, and he is among the narrators used by Muslim.Haythami said in al-Majma (3/258), "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."
