Uqba reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him on the morning of Aqabah, while he was on his mount, "Pick up some pebbles for me."So I picked up for him small pebbles, the size of those used in the flicking game. When I placed them in his hand, he said, "With pebbles like these. Beware of going to extremes in religion, for it was extremism in religion that destroyed those who came before you."
