We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ crying out loudly with the talbiyah for Hajj. When we arrived in Mecca, he ordered us to make it an Umra, except for those who had brought sacrificial animals. Then, on the Day of Tarwiyah, when we headed out to Mina, we entered the state of ihram for Hajj.
Muslim narrated it in the Hajj chapter (1247), from Ubaydullah bin Umar Qawariri, who said, Abdul-Ala bin Abdul-Ala narrated to us, who said, Dawud (that is, Ibn Abu Hind) narrated to us, from Abu Nadra (that is, Munzir bin Malik bin Qita Abdi), from Abu Saeed, who said (then he mentioned it).
