Hafsa bint Umar bin Khattab reported,

She asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Why have the people exited the state of ihram while you have not exited it from your umrah?"He replied, "I have matted my hair and garlanded my sacrificial animal, so I will not exit ihram until I have slaughtered it."

عن حفصة أم المؤمنين

أنها قالت لرسول الله ﷺ: ما شأن الناس حلوا ولم تحلل أنت من عمرتك؟ فقال: إني لبدت رأسي وقلدت هديي فلا أحل حتى أنحر.
