The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not order me to camp at al-Abtah when he departed from Mina, but I came and pitched his tent there, and he arrived and stayed in it.
لم يأمرني رسول الله ﷺ أن أنزل الأبطح حين خرج من منى ولكني جئت فضربت فيه قبته فجاء فنزل.
Muslim narrated it in the book of Hajj (1313) via Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Salih bin Kaysan, from Sulayman bin Yasar, who said, Abu Rafi said, and he mentioned it.In another narration he added, "from Abu Rafi, who was in charge of the baggage of the Prophet ﷺ." The word "thaql" (baggage) refers to the dependents and the belongings that are heavy to carry.
