The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs Hajj to this House without engaging in obscene speech or sinful conduct returns as pure as the day his mother bore him."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من حج هذا البيت، فلم يرفث، ولم يفسق رجع كما ولدته أمه.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on the one prevented from completing Hajj (1819), and Muslim in the book of Hajj (1350), both through the route of Shubah, from Mansur, from Abu Hazim (that is, Salman Ashjai), from Abu Hurairah, and he narrated it, the wording being Bukhari's.Bukhari also narrated it (1820), and Muslim, through the route of Sufyan (that is, Thawri), from Mansur, with the same chain, similarly, except that he said, "like the day" instead of "as."His saying, "he did not commit rafath," rafath refers to sexual intercourse, and it is also used for alluding to it, and for obscene speech. His saying, "and did not commit fusuq," meaning he did not commit any evil deed or act of disobedience.Fath al-Bari (3/382).
