Muhammad bin Muntashir reported,

I asked Abdullah Ibn Umar about a man who applies perfume and then enters the state of ihram in the morning.He replied, "I would not like to enter ihram in the morning with perfume oozing from me. To be smeared with tar would be more pleasing to me than doing that."So I went to Ayesha and told her that Ibn Umar had said, "I would not like to enter ihram in the morning with perfume oozing from me. To be smeared with tar would be more pleasing to me than doing that."Ayesha said, "I myself applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before he entered ihram. He then went around to his wives, and in the morning he entered the state of ihram."

عن إبراهيم بن محمد بن المنتشر، عن أبيه، قال

سألت عبد الله ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما عن الرجل يتطيب ثم يصبح محرما؟ فقال: ما أحب أن أصبح محرما أنضخ طيبا لأن أطلي بقطران أحب إلي من أن أفعل ذلك. فدخلت على عائشة رضي الله عنها فأخبرتها أن ابن عمر قال ما أحب أن أصبح محرما أنضخ طيبا لأن أطلي بقطران أحب إلي من أن أفعل ذلك! فقالت عائشة: أنا طييت رسول الله ﷺ عند إحرامه، ثم طاف في نسائه ثم أصبح محرما.
