Jibreel came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Who is this righteous servant who has died, for whom the gates of heaven have been opened and the Throne has shaken?"The Prophet ﷺ went out and found that Saad bin Muaz had died.
جاء جبريل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: من هذا العبد الصالح الذي مات فتحت له أبواب السماء، وتحرك له العرش؟ فخرج النبي ﷺ فإذا سعد بن معاذ قد مات.

Ibn Manda narrated it in Tawhid (821) through several routes from Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad, from Yazid bin Had, from Muaz bin Rifa Zurqi, from Jabir, and he mentioned it. He said, Layth narrated it from Yazid bin Had.I say, this is a strong corroboration of Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad, since he had weak memory as Abu Zura said. Yazid bin Had is Yazid bin Abdullah bin Usama bin Had Laythi, as mentioned before.As for what Abu Jafar bin Abu Shayba narrated in Arsh (51), from Uqba bin Mukram, who said, Yunus bin Bukayr narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, from Muaz bin Rifa Zurqi, who said, one of the men of my people whom I wished narrated to us, that Jibreel came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when Saad bin Muaz died in the depth of the night, wrapped in a turban of brocade, and said, "Muhammad, who is this dead man for whom the gates of heaven were opened, and for whom the Throne shook?" So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up quickly, dragging his garment, and went to Saad, and found that he had indeed died.Dhahabi cited this account through this route in Uluw (192-1), and it contains an unnamed man, the one from whom Muaz bin Rifa narrated. What is apparent from the preceding narrations is that he is Jabir bin Abdullah, except that he added things in the text that no one else mentioned.
