The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Mecca wearing a black turban, without being in a state of ihram.In another wording, the Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca on the day of its conquest wearing a black turban.
أن رسول الله ﷺ دخل مكة وعليه عمامة سوداء بغير إحرام. وفي لفظ: أن النبي ﷺ دخل يوم فتح مكة وعليه عمامة سوداء.
Muslim narrated it in the Hajj chapter (1358) through Muawiya bin Ammar Duhni, from Abu Zubayr, from Jabir. The other wording is through Ammar Duhni, from Abu Zubayr, with the same chain.
