We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a state of ihram for Hajj, during the months of Hajj, within the sacred precincts of Hajj, and on the nights of Hajj, until we made camp at Sarif. The hadith continues at length.
خرجنا مع رسول الله ﷺ مهلين بالحج في أشهر الحج، وفي حرم الحج، وليالي الحج حتى نزلنا بسرف. الحديث بطوله.
Bukhari narrated it in the book of Hajj (1560), and Muslim in the book of Hajj (1211:123), both of them through the route of Aflah bin Humayd, who said, I heard Qasim bin Muhammad narrate from Ayesha, and he related it.His saying, "the sanctities of Hajj," is with the ha and the ra both vocalized with a damma, meaning its times, places, and states. It has also been transmitted with the ra vocalized with a fatha, "huram," the plural of hurmah, meaning the prohibitions and forbidden matters of Hajj. See Fath al-Bari (3/421).
