The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan, when nine nights remain, when seven remain, when five remain."In another narration, "It is in the last ten nights, when nine have passed, or when seven remain."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: التمسوها في العشر الأواخر من رمضان، ليلة القدر في تاسعة تبقى، في سابعة تبقى، في خامسة تبقى. وفي رواية: هي في العشر الأواخر، في تسع يمضين، أو في سبع يبقين.
Bukhari narrated it in the Virtue of Laylat al-Qadr (2021) from Musa bin Ismail, who said, Wahib narrated to us, who said, Ayub narrated to us, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas.The second narration (2022) is from Abdullah bin Abu Aswad, who said, Abdul-Wahid (that is, Ibn Ziyad) narrated to us, who said, Asim (that is, Ibn Sulayman Ahwal) narrated to us, from Abu Majliz and Ikrima, who both said, Ibn Abbas said, and then he mentioned it.
