The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Fasting while traveling is not an act of righteousness."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: ليس من البر الصيام في السفر.
Bazzar reported it - Kashf Astar (985) - and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (11/187), both from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj, from Ata, from Ibn Abbas, who mentioned it. Haythami said in Majma (3/161), "The narrators of Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih."
