The Prophet ﷺ said, "The one who performs cupping and the one for whom cupping is performed have both broken their fast."

Tirmidhi (774) narrated it from Muhammad bin Yahya, Muhammad bin Rafi Nisaburi, Mahmud bin Ghaylan, and Yahya bin Musa, who said, Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us, and it is in his Musannaf (7523), from Mamar, from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, from Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Qaridh, from Saaib bin Yazid, from Rafi bin Khadij, and he mentioned it.Tirmidhi said, "Hasan sahih. It has been mentioned that Ahmad bin Hanbal said, 'The soundest thing on this subject is the hadith of Rafi bin Khadij.'"Ahmad (15828) also narrated it, and Ibn Khuzayma (1964), Ibn Hibban (3535), Hakim (1/428), and Bayhaqi (4/265) all declared it sahih, all of them from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq, through the same chain, in like manner.Ibn Khuzayma said, I heard Abbas bin Abdul-Azim Anbari say, I heard Ali bin Abdullah Madini say, I do not know of any hadith on "the one who cups and the one who is cupped both break their fast" more sahih than this one.Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs."I say, Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Qaridh is among the narrators relied upon by Muslim alone.Hakim said, "Let the seeker of this knowledge know that there are two chains for Yahya bin Abu Kathir, one of which Ahmad bin Hanbal judged to be sound, and the other of which Ali bin Madini judged to be sound. So neither should be used to fault the other, for Ishaq bin Ibrahim Hanzali has likewise judged the hadith of Shaddad bin Aws to be sound."
