Ahmad narrated it (11597) from Abdullah bin Walid, who said, "Sufyan narrated to us, from Salama bin Kuhayl, from Qazaa, from Abu Saeed Khudri," and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan due to the discussion surrounding Abdullah bin Walid, who is the son of Maymun, Abu Muhammad Makki, known as Adani. There is disagreement about him. Ibn Main declared him daif, while others regarded him as acceptable, and his hadith is hasan. Ibn Hibban narrated it in his Sahih (3578) through his route, pairing him with Muammal bin Ismail, both of them narrating from Sufyan, with the same wording. Muammal bin Ismail has poor memory, but there is no harm in him for corroborating narrations.
