The Prophet ﷺ was the most generous of people in doing good, and he was at his most generous during Ramadan when Jibreel would meet him. Jibreel would meet him every night during Ramadan until the month ended, and the Prophet ﷺ would recite the Quran to him. When Jibreel
met him, he was more generous in good than the sweeping wind.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Fasting (1902), and Muslim in the Book of Virtues (2308), via Ibrahim bin Saad, who said, Ibn Shihab informed us, from Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Utba bin Masud, from Ibn Abbas, who mentioned it.
