When Ramadan began, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This month has come upon you, and within it is a night better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of it has been deprived of all goodness, and none is deprived of its goodness except one who is truly deprived."
دخل رمضان، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: إن هذا الشهر قد حضركم، وفيه ليلة خير من ألف شهر، من حرمها فقد حرم الخير كله، ولا يحرم خيرها إلا محروم.
Ibn Majah (1644) narrated it from Abu Badr Abbad bin Walid, who said, Muhammad bin Bilal narrated to us, who said, Imran Qattan narrated to us, from Qatada, from Anas bin Malik, and he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of what is said about Imran, who is Ibn Dawar (with a fatha on the waw followed by a ra), Abu Qattan Basri. There is disagreement about him. Ibn Main, Abu Dawud, and Nasai declared him daif, while others accepted him. Ahmad said, "I hope he is one whose hadith is sound." Bukhari and Tirmidhi said, "He is truthful." Ibn Adi said, "He is among those whose hadith is written down." Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators. A narrator like this has his hadith graded hasan when nothing objectionable appears in it, and he has sound foundations.Hafiz Munziri mentioned it in Targhib wa Tarhib (1511) and attributed it to Ibn Majah, grading its isnad hasan.
