Abu Ishaq reported,
I asked Zirr bin Hubaysh about the saying of Allah the Exalted, "And was at a distance of two bow-lengths or nearer. So He revealed to His servant what He revealed." [Najm 53:9–10]He said, "Ibn Masud told us that he saw Jibreel having six hundred wings."

Sahihعن أبي إسحاق الشيباني قال
سألت زر بن حبيش، عن قول الله تعالى: {فكان قاب قوسين أو أدنى فأوحى إلى عبده ما أوحى} [سورة النجم: ٩- ١٠] قال: حدثنا ابن مسعود أنه رأى جبريل له ست مائة جناح.
Bukhari narrated it in the Beginning of Creation (3232), and in the Tafsir (4856, 4857), and Muslim in the Faith (174), both through routes from Abu Ishaq Shaybani, who mentioned it.Asim, that is Ibn Bahdala, narrated it from Zirr with his chain, and said in it, "At Sidrat Muntaha, it has six hundred wings, from which scatter beautiful things, pearls and rubies." Imam Ahmad narrated it (3915), and Ibn Khuzayma in the Tawhid (408), both through the route of Hammad bin Salama, from Asim bin Bahdala. Its chain is hasan because of Asim, and more will follow regarding the physical description of Jibreel.
