The Prophet ﷺ commanded that the zakat al-fitr be given before the people went out to the prayer.
أن النبي ﷺ أمر بزكاة الفطر قبل خروج الناس إلى الصلاة.
Bukhari narrated it in zakat (1509), and Muslim in zakat (986), both through Musa bin Uqba, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, who mentioned it.
