The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the funeral prayer over a man who had left behind two or three dinars, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Two or three brands of fire."
أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى على رجل ترك دينارين أو ثلاثة فقال النبي ﷺ: كيتان أو ثلاثة.
Ahmad (9538) and Bazzar - Kashf Astar (3650) both narrated it from the hadith of Yahya bin Saeed, from Fudayl bin Ghazwan, who said, Abu Hazim narrated to me, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih, and Abu Hazim is Salman Ashjai al-Kufi, one of the men agreed upon by the compilers.The reason for this is that this man used to beg people to accumulate wealth, as Bayhaqi narrated in Shuab al-Iman (3515) through the route of Yahya bin Abdul-Hameed, who said, Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Hazim. He added in it, "I then met Abdullah bin Qasim, the freed slave of Abu Bakr, and mentioned that to him, and he said, 'That was a man who used to beg people to accumulate wealth.'"
