Muslim narrated it in the Book of Zakat (1041) through several routes from Ibn Fudayl, from Umara bin Qaqa, from Abu Zura, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.As for what has been narrated from Umar bin Khattab as a raised hadith, "Whoever asks people for money to increase his wealth is only asking for burning coals, so let him decrease it if he wishes, or let him increase it if he wishes," this is daif. Ibn Hibban narrated it (3391) from Abu Aruba, who said, Mughira bin Abdul-Rahman Harrani told us, Yahya bin Sakan told us, who said, Hammad bin Salama told us, from Dawud bin Abu Hind, from Shaybi, from Masruq, who said, Umar said, and he mentioned it. Among its narrators is Yahya bin Sakan Basri, of whom Abu Hatim said, "He is not strong." Al-Jarh wal-Tadil (9/155).It has also been narrated as stopped at Umar. Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it (3/209) from Abu Muawiya, from Dawud, from Shaybi, who said, Umar said (and he mentioned it as stopped at him), and this is more sahih.His saying "radf" with a fatha on the ra, and a sakin on the dal (with a dot) followed by a fa, means heated stones.
