Abu Hurairah reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks you in the name of Allah, give to him. Whoever invites you, respond to him. If a sheep's trotter were given to me as a gift, I would accept it, and if I were invited to a meal of a sheep's trotter, I would answer the invitation."

قال رسول الله ﷺ: من سألكم بالله فأعطوه، ومن دعاكم فأجيبوه، ولو أهدي إلي كراع لقبلت، ولو دعيت إلى كراع لأجبت.
and does not give for His sake and does not give for His sakeImam Ahmad (10651) narrated it from Aswad bin Amir, who said, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash informed us, from Amash, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah, and he related the hadith. Hakim graded it sahih (1/413), narrating it by this route, and said, "This isnad is sahih, for both isnads from Amash have been established as sound according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, and we hold to our principle of accepting additions from trustworthy narrators in both the chains and the texts." End of quote.The meaning of his statement, "both isnads from Amash have been established as sound," is that this hadith comes from Amash by two routes, from Ibn Umar, and from Abu Hurairah.I say, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash is Ibn Salim al-Asadi al-Kufi. Muslim did not narrate from him, but Bukhari did narrate from him. Ahmad and Ajli affirmed his trustworthiness.
