The Prophet ﷺ said, "The truly needy person is not the one who is turned away with a morsel or two, but the truly needy person is the one who has no wealth and yet is too modest to ask, or who does not press people with persistent begging."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: ليس المسكين الذي ترده الأكلة والأكلتان، ولكن المسكين الذي ليس له غنى ويستحيي أو لا يسأل الناس إلحاقا.
