They had slaughtered a sheep, and the Prophet ﷺ asked, "How much of it is left?"She replied, "Nothing remains of it except its shoulder."He said, "All of it remains except its shoulder."
أنهم ذبحوا شاة، فقال النبي ﷺ: ما بقي منها؟ قالت: ما بقي منها إلا كتفها. قال: بقي كلها غير كتفها.
Tirmidhi (2470) and Ahmad (24240) both narrated it from the hadith of Yahya bin Saeed, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Maysara, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it. Tirmidhi said, "This is a sahih hadith. Abu Maysara is al-Hamdani, whose name is Amr bin Shurahbil." Hakim (4/136) also narrated it through the route of Ismail, from Abu Ishaq, in abridged form, and he said, "Its chain is sahih." I say, its chain is sahih just as they said, and this hadith agrees with the words of Allah Most High, "What you have runs out, but what is with Allah remains" [Nahl 16:96].
