A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I gave my mother a garden of mine, and she has died leaving no heir other than me."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Your charity is confirmed, and your garden returns to you."
Ibn Majah (2395) narrated it from Muhammad bin Yahya, who said, Abdullah bin Jafar Raqqi told us, who said, Ubaydullah told us, from Abdul-Kareem, from Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb, for his hadith is hasan. Ubaydullah is Ibn Amr Raqqi, and Abdul-Kareem is Ibn Malik Jazari.Imam Ahmad (6731) narrated it through the route of Ubaydullah with his isnad, and Ibn Khuzayma (2465) graded it sahih. He also narrated it through another route from Husayn Muallim, from Amr bin Shuayb with his isnad, except that in it a man had given a piece of land in charity to his son.
