I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "In the human body there are three hundred and sixty joints, and a person must give charity on behalf of each joint."They asked, "Who can manage that, Prophet of Allah?"He replied, "Phlegm in the mosque that you bury, or something harmful you remove from the road. If you cannot find such things, then the two units of the Duha prayer will suffice you."
Abu Dawud (5242) narrated it from Ahmad bin Muhammad Marwazi, who said, Ali bin Husayn told me, my father told me, Abdullah bin Burayda told me, he said, I heard Abu Burayda, then he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan due to some discussion regarding Husayn, that is, Ibn Waqid Marwazi, except that his hadith are hasan.Ibn Khuzayma (1226) and Ibn Hibban (1642, 2540) both graded it sahih, both by way of Husayn bin Waqid, with the same wording. Its chain of transmission was cited earlier in the chapter on the prayer of Duha.
