Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Prophet ﷺ turned to those around him and said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, it would not please me to have a mountain of gold the size of Uhud for the family of Muhammad to spend in the path of Allah, only to die leaving behind two dinars from it, except two dinars I had set aside to pay off a debt, if there were one."He died without leaving behind a single dinar, nor a dirham, nor a slave, nor a slave-girl. He left only his armor, which was pledged to a Jew for thirty measures of barley.
