Qaza bin Yahya Basri reported,

I came to Abu Saeed when he was surrounded by people seeking from him. When the people had dispersed, I said, "I am not going to ask you about what these people were asking. I want to ask you about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."He replied, "There is nothing of benefit for you in that."I repeated the question to him, and he said, "The Dhuhr prayer would be called, and one of us could walk to al-Baqi, relieve himself, then come to his family and perform ablution, then return to the mosque while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was still in the first rakah."He continued, "I also asked him about zakat, and he said, 'I do not know whether I should attribute this to the Prophet ﷺ or not. On two hundred dirhams, five dirhams are due. On forty sheep, one sheep is due, up to one hundred and twenty. When the number exceeds that by one, two sheep are due, up to two hundred. When it exceeds that, three sheep are due, up to three hundred. When it exceeds that, for every hundred, one sheep is due.For camels, on five, one sheep is due. On ten, two sheep. On fifteen, three sheep. On twenty, four sheep. On twenty-five, a one-year-old female camel is due, up to thirty-five. When the number exceeds that by one, a two-year-old female camel is due, up to forty-five. When it exceeds that by one, a three-year-old female camel is due, up to sixty. When it exceeds that by one, a four-year-old female camel is due, up to seventy-five. When it exceeds that by one, two two-year-old female camels are due, up to ninety. When it exceeds that by one, two three-year-old female camels are due, up to one hundred and twenty. When it exceeds that, for every fifty, a three-year-old female camel is due, and for every forty, a two-year-old female camel.'"I also asked him about fasting while traveling. He said, "We traveled with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ toward Makkah while we were fasting. We stopped at a place, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'You are drawing near your enemy, and breaking the fast will give you more strength.' It was a concession, so some of us fasted and some broke the fast. Then we stopped at another place, and he said, 'You will meet your enemy in the morning, and breaking the fast will give you more strength, so break your fast.' This was a firm command, so we broke our fast. Then he said, "After that, I saw us fasting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while traveling."
