The Prophet ﷺ led us in the afternoon prayer and performed it quickly, then entered his house. He did not stay long before coming out again. I said to him, or someone said to him, about it, and he replied, "I had left behind in the house some gold from the charity, and I disliked keeping it overnight, so I distributed it."
صلى بنا النبي ﷺ العصر فأسرع، ثم دخل البيت فلم يلبث أن خرج، فقلت- أو قيل- له. فقال: كنت خلفت في البيت تبرا من الصدقة فكرهت أن أبيته، فقسمته.
