Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah rejoices more at the repentance of His servant when he turns to Him than any one of you would rejoice over this. Imagine a man traveling on his mount through a barren land, when his mount escapes from him, carrying his food and drink. He despairs of finding it, so he comes to a tree and lies down in its shade, having given up all hope of recovering his mount. Then, while he is in that state, suddenly the mount is standing right beside him. He seizes its reins and, in the intensity of his joy, cries out, 'O Allah, You are my servant and I am Your Lord!' He misspeaks out of the sheer intensity of his joy."
