Abdullah bin Umar reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood over the well on the day of Badr and called out, "So-and-so, so-and-so, have you found what your Lord promised you to be true?" Then he said, "By Allah, they can hear my words right now."Yahya reported that Ayesha said, "May Allah forgive Abu Abdul-Rahman. He is mistaken. What the Messenger of Allah ﷺ actually said was, 'By Allah, they now know that what I used to tell them was the truth.' And Allah, the Exalted, says," and then she recited, "Indeed, you cannot make the dead hear" [Naml 27:80], "and you are not one to make those in the graves hear" [Fatir 35:22].
