The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has made Mecca sacred. It was not lawful for anyone before me, nor will it be lawful for anyone after me, and it was made lawful for me only for an hour of one day. Its grass is not to be cut, its trees are not to be uprooted, its game is not to be disturbed, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who will announce it publicly."Abbas said, "Messenger of Allah, except for idhkhir grass, for it is used by our goldsmiths and for our graves."He replied, "Except for idhkhir."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Funerals (1349) from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Hawshab, who said, Abdul-Wahhab narrated to us, who said, Khalid narrated to us, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he related it.The two Shaykhs, Bukhari (1834) and Muslim (1353), both narrated it through the hadith of Jareer, from Mansur, from Mujahid, from Tawus, from Ibn Abbas, in a longer wording, which will come in its place, Allah willing.
