Ibn Majah (1538) narrated it from Sahl bin Abu Sahl, who said, Makki bin Ibrahim Abu Sakan narrated to us, from Malik, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Sahl bin Abu Sahl, who is Ibn Zanjala. Abu Hatim said, "He is truthful (saduq)," and Hafiz relied on this in Taqrib, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat. As for what was narrated from Anas bin Malik, that the Prophet ﷺ said takbir five times over Negus, this is baseless (batil). Juzqani narrated it in Abatil (427) and said, "This is a baseless hadith. This Saeed bin Marzuban was a one-eyed man from the people of Kufa. Abu Hafs Amr bin Ali said, he is daif in hadith. Yahya bin Main said, he is nothing. And this Ukasha bin Mihsan is unknown, he is not the Ukasha bin Mihsan Asadi who narrated from the Prophet ﷺ." End of quote.Dr. Fariwai, the editor of the book Abatil, commented on this, saying, "Perhaps the word 'Ibn' was dropped from the chain, and it should have read 'from Ibn Ukasha,' meaning Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Ukasha bin Mihsan, one of those whose narrations are abandoned (matrukin), attributed to his distant grandfather, and he is mentioned in Tahdhib (9/430)." End of quote.
