Anas bin Malik reported,
The Prophet 
narrated from his Lord, who said, "When a servant draws near to Me by a hand's span, I draw near to him by an arm's length. When he draws near to Me by an arm's length, I draw near to him by a fathom. And when he comes to Me walking, I come to him at a quickened pace."

عن النبي يرويه عن ربه عز وجل قال: إذا تقرب العبد إلي شبرا تقربت إليه ذراعا، وإذا تقرب إلي ذراعا تقربت منه باعا، وإذا أتاني مشيا أتيته هرولة.
on the Day of Resurrection on the Day of ResurrectionBukhari narrated it in Tawhid (7536), from Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahim, who said, "Abu Zayd Saeed bin Rabi Harawi narrated to us, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Qatada, from Anas," and he mentioned it.He also narrated it in Tawhid (7537) through another route, from Sulayman Taymi, from Anas bin Malik, from Abu Hurairah, who said, "The Prophet ﷺ would sometimes mention, saying, 'When the servant draws near to Me by a handspan, I draw near to him by a forearms length, and when he draws near to Me by a forearms length, I draw near to him by an armspan or a fathom.'"
