I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Our Lord will uncover His shin, and every believing man and woman will prostrate to Him. There will remain those who used to prostrate in the world for show and reputation. One of them will try to prostrate, but his back will become a single rigid plate."
Bukhari related it in the tafsir (4919) from Adam bin Abu Iyas, who said, "Layth narrated to us, from Khalid bin Yazid, from Saeed bin Abu Hilal, from Zayd bin Aslam, from Ata bin Yasar, from Abu Saeed," and he mentioned it in this abridged form. He also related it in the chapter on monotheism (7439) from Yahya bin Bukayr, who said, "Layth bin Saad narrated to us," with his chain of transmission, in a longer form, which is mentioned in its proper place, and it contains, "Then He uncovers His shin..." Muslim related it in the chapter on faith (183) through another route, from Zayd bin Aslam, with his chain of transmission, and it contains, "Then He uncovers His shin."
